Recently, our CEO Tim, his wife Jen, as well as several Vanguard Health team members had the pleasure of attending the 2024 Yalari Gala in Brisbane.
The Yalari Foundation has been providing Indigenous children from regional and remote communities across Australia the opportunity to receive a full boarding school scholarship for their entire secondary education since 2005. Yalari believes that education is the key to generational change and a brighter future for Indigenous Australians and for our nation. They are deeply committed to the ongoing success of our national program of scholarships, student support and post-school opportunities, a mission which Vanguard Health thoroughly and wholeheartedly supports.
One of the 248 students on a Yalari scholarship in 2024 is Viema, who Vanguard Health has the privilege of sponsoring during her first year of education at St Margaret's.
The Gala provided some of our team with the opportunity to meet the wonderful Viema, and hear all about some of her favourite subjects, hobbies and sports at her new school.
